On June 19, 2012, at approximately 6:25 PM, Galt Police were called to the 200 Block of Oak Avenue on a report of a physical fight in progress.  Arriving officers located two injured persons and detained several people who were possibly involved.

After a lengthily investigation it was determined that the two injured persons were shot several times with a pellet gun after they arrived at a home wielding a small machete and attempting to fight one of the residents.

22 year old Luis Meza, 20 year old Jesus Calderon, and 35 year old Gabriel Lopez all from Galt were arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon and for participation in a criminal street gang.
