Bureaus, geographic boundaries and personnel alignments throughout the department have changed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.  Baker Sector is located in Central Austin-Region 1.

The Baker Sector is composed of four districts Baker1, Baker2, Baker3 and Baker4, which are within the boundaries of:

• North:  Pearce Road/Spicewood Springs Road/Far West Boulevard/Hancock Lane/North Loop Boulevard/51st Street
• East:    IH-35
• South:  Lady Bird Lake (Loop 1 to Lamar Boulevard)/12th Street
• West:   Commons Ford Ranch/City Park Road/Far West Boulevard

The University of Texas at Austin is surrounded on all sides primarily by Baker Sector (APD) as such it is important to collaborate with our University Community who has their own Police Department, UT PD.
